WHAT IS GOING ON. IPOD COMPATABLES SEEM TO BE FORCED ON US. LOTS OF US JUST WANT TO PLAY OUR CD'S. I PAID $80.00 FOR MINE. LETS RAISE OUR VOICES AND TELL THEM WHAT WE WANT. GREAT QUALITY AND SOUND. WE USE IT ALL THE TIME. FOR SOME REASON THE PRICE WENT WAY UP AND YOU CAN'T FIND THEM FOR SALE.
The offshore service representative gave awful service. I returned it as a defective item, and although I bought it direct from SonyStyle, they had great bureaucratic problems having the unit picked up and a replacement sent to me - so I had no choice but to return it and shop for another brand, loyal Sony customer that I had been. Bought this so I could carry it around the house with me. However, the CD player's anti-motion mechanism shut it off extremely easily, although sound quality was excellent when it was playing.
That was very disappointing. We loved this boombox but after a few trips with it the cd player stopped working. Starting getting the no disc message.
The FM receiver appears to be good. It is a little toggle switch and you have to go through all of the stations to get from one to the next.
If this came with a remote control, that would make it so much easier. You can't easily get from the first channel setting to the last without going through all of them.
The sound on this system is good. The only items that I don't 100% like on the system is the changing of channels on the radio.
Other than that little function, the rest of the system seems to work great and will be a nice little system. It should be able to crank out the tunes.
I was able to pick up alot of stations in my basement, which is not always possible.
Nice ergo design. Very good sound, a little larger than I thought, has large wall wart, but stays in the outlet.
